For my politics capstone at the University of Melbourne, I wrote a policy brief on school disengagement post COVID-19, tying in with my advocacy efforts for increased awareness around school disengagement.
Download hereFor this assignment, I was tasked to create a mock cabinet submission, which I wrote on improving civics and citizenship education in school, receiving the highest marks in the cohort. For me, it was a particularly gratifying assignment to complete, as I was able to express my passion for youth policy whilst completing university work.
Download hereDuring my year 12 studies, I worked alongside a group of 15 other young people, and helped found the national campaign to lower the voting age to 16. This involved flying up to canberra for press conferences and our launch, organising a national media strategy as Head of Media & Comms, and speaking on almost every radio station and masthead across the country - which you can find in the media tab of this website.
I wrote a piece in the YACVic blog on the implications of lowering the voting age to 16.
